Margo Carrera Interviews Linda Bounds of Leaps and Bounds Art Programs
Linda Bounds is the executive director
and founder of L.E.A.P.S. and BOUNDS,
(Lovingly Energetic Artistic Programs for Seniors).
Linda creates art programs for the elderly, at-risk children, and the
developmentally disabled. Her specialty is working with individuals
facing the frustration of Alzheimer's, Dementia, and short-term
memory loss. Through her work, Individuals who engage in this
multisensory art program appear to show signs of memory
improvement and an increase in their cognitive ability.
In this show Linda shares with us her amazing stories about
actual clients who have made remarkable break throughs in
memory improvement, cognitive abilities, socialization, and last,
but not least, their artistic and creative abilites. Linda has a
extraordinary ability to reach individuals whose minds have been
locked away in their bodies without a way to communicate with
humanity. Art is that vehicle that opens up a new route of
